I recently began homeschooling my preschool-aged daughter, and I'm always looking for fun and engaging learning experiences for her. I was excited to introduce her to the Rachel and the Tree Schoolers series.
One morning I told her we were going to do something a little bit different for homeschool, and I put the DVD in. My daughter was intrigued, from the beginning. She didn't just stay on the couch, but got up to dance to the catchy songs about lightning and thunder. She quickly picked up on the sign language that Rachel taught the children. There was a simple "game-show" portion of the movie, and my daughter was guessing the answers and pointing to the different pictures. I was impressed by how engaged she became. She is usually a T.V. zombie while watching a movie, but she was interacting with Rachel and other characters during the entire show. Even my 18 month old son, who has very little interest in movies, was dancing and trying to sing along with the characters. Now my children always request to watch this show!
Even more important than the entertainment value, I feel that the way the material is presented is very conducive to the way young minds think. In the movie Rachel, begins each question with the phrase, "I wonder." I have found that my daughter has begun phrasing her questions that way. Rachel and the Tree Schoolers also asks several different questions about a topic to add depth to the knowledge. For example instead of just explaining what weather is, they also explain what clouds are made of, why it rains, the simple science behind lightning and thunder etc. I felt that all of these topics were discussed very well at a preschool level.
After watching the DVD, my daughter has shown a new interest in the weather, she is excited to discuss the weather with me. She, also, has excitedly told friends and grandparents all that she knows about clouds and the weather. The DVD was a great segway into some fun and educational crafts. For example, we used cotton balls to make pictures of the different types of clouds discussed in by Rachel and the Tree Schoolers. The characters on Rachel and the Tree Schooler are very well done. Rachel is warm and friendly, and each animated character adds a fun new perspective to the learning.
The DVD also came with a CD. I love this! My daughter loves to sing the songs from Rachel and the Tree Schoolers, but I don't want her watching the DVD 10 times a day. I just pop in the CD, and she can sing to her little heart's content. The CD also contains sing-along tracks. These are great for preschoolers that are just learning the songs. The DVD also comes with a FREE teachers guide and a parents guide. The guides include the lyrics to all the songs, a list of fun activities and books to continue learning about weather. The DVD also has an auto-play feature that would be especially helpful to daycares or settings with many children.
I would highly recommend this DVD learning system to parents and teachers alike. I think it would be great for a daycare, preschool, or just a fun, educational DVD for home use. It will entertain preschool-aged children, while it opens them up to new ideas and teaches them more about the world around them.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

$1000 Cash Giveaway
Welcome to the Kickin The Winter Blues Giveaway
Hosted by
Jenn’s Blah Blah Blog and Pink Ninja Media
I've been couponing for the past 5 years. I've saved thousands of dollars in groceries and household items over the years. One of the most valuable things you can do while couponing is to get organized! You need to know where the sales are happening, where you can find coupons, and what coupons you have with you when you are out shopping. It takes a little bit of time to figure out what kind of organization works for you. I have a filing cabinet with each of my inserts, sorted by date. I don't use a binder, like many people do, but I have a small coupon holder that I take with me to the store. I found that the binder was bulky and I spent most of my time adding and throwing away coupons that I wasn't using. But find what works for you. If you love the binder, than use it. If you find something else that works even better, use that! If you are organized than it is easy to score an awesome deal and save your family some serious cash!

Doji Pure Giveaway
Did you know that it only takes 26 seconds for something put on your skin to be absorbed into your bloodstream?
Do you know what chemicals and fillers are in your current bath products?
I'm so excited to introduce you to Doji Pure. Doji Pure is a brand new line of bath and body products that are all natural and luxurious! Each product is handmade with high quality, natural, vitamin rich ingredients. Even the coloring and scents come from natural products like pure essential oils and plant extracted oils. Doji Pure products help you to enjoy luxury without harmful chemicals or high prices! They have a fantastic line of products ranging from lotions and bath fizzies to microderm abrasion and eyelash treatments.
I live in an extremely dry climate, so I was excited to get to try out anything that would keep my skin looking fresh and hydrated! Their body frostings are absolutely amazing! It absorbed quickly with no oily residue and left my skin silky smooth. It smelled just like a product from a well-known luxury bath and body store. My husband tried their men's lotion on his feet. He has extremely dry, cracked feet, and regular lotions never seem to help. After using Doji Pure's men's lotion, his feet were instantly softer, and within a few days the cracks and dry skin were finally healing!
Next, I tried their Sugar Lip Scrub. YUM!! They come in delicious flavors like: Chocolate, Citrus Mint, and Coconut Vanilla. Not only did they taste delicious, but they left my lips so incredible smooth, especially after I applied Doji Pure's Kissable Lip Balm. My daughter and I use this product every night before bedtime. My daughter says that she feels like a fancy lady with very softy lips!
I was also able to try Doji Pure's Skin Candy sugar scrub. The sugar scrub also smelled delicious and the natural oils left my skin soft and silky right out of the shower, instead of the tight, itchy feeling my skin normally has!
One night, after a particularly stressful day, I ran a bath and used Doji Pure's D-Tox Bath Soak. It smelled like a spa! I sat and soaked and it felt so relaxing! After I got out, I went to bed and I was able to instantly fall asleep (usually I toss and turn for quite a while after I've had a stressful day).
I was so impressed with Doji Pure products! I love that everything was completely natural, but was as good or even better quality than the bath products I can find in specialty stores. And the products are much more reasonably priced! I'm in love with Doji Pure products!! I was able to score a great deal for my readers...and a great giveaway!
*Be sure to comment on both Winning and Musings and Doji Pure's Facebook page for even more entries!
I received products from Doji Pure to test out for my review. I was not required to give a positive review. My opinions are my own. Winning and Musings is not responsible for prize fulfillment. Prizes will be shipped by Doji Pure.

Noxicare Natural Pain Relief
I don't like taking medication...whew...glad I got that off my chest! I don't like swallowing pills, because they make me gag. I don't like having weird side effects, and, honestly, I don't know how safe I feel most medications are. So luckily for me, I've had very few instances where I've needed to take much medication.
But one thing that keeps me running back to the medicine cabinet is pain. Back pain, muscle pains, cramps, headaches etc. I just have never found anything as effective as medication to deal with those issues. So I was very interested to see how effective a natural pain relief cream could be. I've used some other pain relief creams in the past, but let's be honest, they all smell like a stinky nursing home and there is nothing natural about them! Noxicare utilizes seven natural pain relievers such as: turmeric, holy basil, rosemary extract, and ginger. It is also paraben free! It was developed by Dr. Reza Ghorbani a Harvard trained, board certified Pain Management Specialist.
The first thing I did when I got the bottle of Noxicare was open it and smell it, and it smelled like...nothing! No smell whatsoever. So no worries about putting it on first thing in the morning or in the middle of the day, you won't be stinky!
I had recently stepped up my workout routine, and I was having some pretty intense muscle pain in the evenings. I used a small amount on my legs and back. The cream was light and absorbed quickly. The Noxicare was instantly and pleasantly cooling. Within just a few moments my pain had subsided. Over the next few days, I was able to use Noxicare for a headache and other skeletal muscle pain. Each time the pain subsided, and I didn't need to take any medication. Once the pain was gone it never came back.
My sister suffers from juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and is often in pain, even after taking her medication. I lent her my bottle of Noxicare to try. She used it on her joints, and was pain-free for over an hour and a half. That may not sound like much time, but it is equal to the amount of time that she is pain-free using very powerful prescription drugs. She liked the instant cooling effects and was overall very happy with the product.
I was very pleased with this product and I now take it with me in my purse, so I can have it on hand if I need it. I'm also very excited to be able to give two of my readers a chance to win their own bottle of Noxicare. Just fill out the information in the rafflecopter below and good luck!
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. Winning and Musings is not responsible for prize shipment.a Rafflecopter giveaway
